Resolutions

It’s crazy how fast 2015 came and went but I’m really excited about 2016. There are so many things I want to do this year and a few I’m a bit scared about. Here are a few resolutions I’m planning on working towards…

+ Try minimalism
+ Try being vegetarian for at least 3 months
+ Workout/be active at least 2 times a week
+ Actually drink water every day
+ Be consistent with YouTube videos

Right before the new year started I bought the book called The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. I’m not even through the second chapter and I’m already seeing a huge change in my mindset. I cleared out my laptop of all the unnecessary crap I had just sitting in here and I’m discarding so much of the stuff I never use. I love how the book teaches you how to part with the things you feel bad parting with even though you know you don’t want it anymore. This is also super helpful because I’m planning on moving out this year with my group of friends around summertime (which is one of the things I’m a bit scared about, I hate change).

I also don’t want to make the same mistake I did last year. I started making videos which I was really excited about but then a freelance project came up. It ended up taking me 3 months to complete that project and after that was done, I had taken such a long break from YouTube I didn’t know where to start back up again. I’m glad I took the break because I was able to kind of get a grasp on where I wanted my channel to go, but that was definitely a lessoned learned.

The rest of my resolutions are pretty simple. I don’t get much exercise working 40 hours a week on my butt all day so I figured a couple trips to the gym every week would do my body some good. Also I’ve always been an animal lover but grew up eating meat. I really want to try vegetarianism for at least 3 months to see if I can handle it. I feel like that’s reasonable/doable. And then water. I feel like this is like 90% of everyone’s resolutions that I talk to but it’s an important one so it’s on there.

That’s basically it! I’m excited to see what’s in store this new year.

  1. great resolutions! Mine are similar- run 3-4 for times a week, read, and write in my journal everyday. I feel the same way about Youtube because I get busy with college but I’m trying for one video every week.

  2. Being a vegetarian has been amazing for me! its definitely worth trying<3 i thought i would only last a couple of months but I am now on month 7 of being a vegetarian 🙂 good luck to you!
